Travel Health Advise

Travel Health Advice

Travelling abroad is an exciting experience, but with so many things to see and do, the basics like health and safety are often taken for granted. The most common problems are sunburn, diarrhoea, mosquito bites, accidents and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Be prepared
Your Boots pharmacist can advise you on which vaccines you may need, and whether it is recommended that you take malaria prevention medication.

Travel kit
Boots can help you prepare a travel kit of essentials including painkillers, antiseptic, insect repellent and anti-diarrhoea tablets, and advice on protection against the sun.

Travelling with children
Children need extra protection from conditions such as sunburn, travel sickness and food poisoning, but adults can also suffer.

If you want more information on travel health options and advise available to you at Boots, Lakeside - you can either visit the store on Level 1 or phone 01708 869871 at any time during Centre Opening Hours to speak to the Boots Pharmacy team.
